<p>Drink more water, another easy one. Should it be eight glasses a day? The answer is maybe. The amount of water needed can vary by individual greatly. One thing to take into account is that carbohydrates contain water. If you are reducing your carbohydrate intake, you should probably up you fluid intake.</p>

As these disappointments set in you motivation will wane and it will be difficult to keep going.</p>
<p>I am not an expert about anyone’s fat loss other than my own. As you can see from the pictures, I have been very successful in losing a great deal of weight. This is my fat burning diet. It is what has worked for me. Will it work for you I have no idea.</p>

<p>I know there are a ton of people planning on <span style="text-decoration: underline;">losing weight in 2012</span>. I want to share a few thoughts on it.</p>
<p>I am not an expert on weight loss. I am an expert on my own weight loss. I won’t claim to know what works for everyone else. I am writing this post to share what has worked for me. I hope that if you apply it in your own weight loss journey you will find it helpful.</p>
<p>I am going to share the number one key to any fat burning diet, weight loss program, diet or whatever you want to call it. If you look at the testimonials on TV the web or anywhere else, you will find successful people generally on any number of famous diet programs. The most irritating thing about those commercials, “anyone can do it.” Now I know there is truth in that statement, but we all know it is not that simple.</p>
<p>Readers of my blog know that I push “Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle.” That is not the point of this post. There are many great diet programs out there. The program is not the key. In theory weight loss is very simple. Notice I said simple, not easy. Nearly all weight loss operates on the principle of a calorie deficit. If you create a calorie deficit you will lose weight. There are other techniques that will maximize fat loss, such as macronutrient profile, and exercising at the ideal time, six meals a day and on and on.</p>
<p>None of those are the key to successful weight loss. They are all important factors, but they are not the foundation. I hate to tell you this but without the proper foundation you will fail no matter how great the diet.</p>
<p>Most diets do not focus enough on this key foundation. That’s because these companies are there to make money. That’s what business is all about. As long as there are some successes for testimonials, they are fine with everyone else who yoyos. Maintenance customers are not as valuable.</p>
<p>For me I went to Weight Watchers the first time at about 13. I lost a great deal of weight and went on with my life. Within a couple years I was fat again. Since then I have revisited weight watchers 2 or 3 times, each time the same story. For me personally it always felt like a temporary pain that I had to go through and then when it was over I’d go directly back to my old ways.</p>
<p>In my opinion that is because of mindset. Mindset is the true key to losing weight and keeping it off. I’m not talking about that temporary motivation that sounds like “I’m going to lose weight in 2012.” You know the type that wears off by about February.</p>
<p>I’m talking about truly changing your mindset permanently. Stop thinking fat. Picture the new you. It sounds like some kind of fluff. That a weight loss guru spouts off to sell her latest crap book. I assure you it is not. Your mindset is the most important part. It is the foundation and the key to success in any diet program you choose.</p>
<p>You need to change your way of thinking in a major way. There will be plateaus, there will be gains. It is just the nature of the beast. These are the times when that mindset and the resolve that comes with it will be the only thing that can save you.</p>
<p>I’m sure many of you can remember those times when you worked hard all week. Ate right, did everything right only to get on the scale and see a gain. It’s like getting punched in the gut. Sometimes this can go on for weeks. The first and easiest reaction is to give up and say screw it. Here comes the yoyo.</p>
<p>This is the time to reach deep and count on your will to keep going. If you have laid that foundation properly you will be able to stay on track. You know that your goal is the only possible outcome.</p>
<p>I have been going through some doubts myself lately. I have lost about 120 pounds. Believe me it is getting more difficult. I don’t see those three or four pound weeks that I used to. However I know where this journey ends, so I will push on.</p>
<p>Things in life will get in your way too. That’s my problem lately I am an emotional eater. I recently resorted to that. I took a week or two and ate like a pig. I never lost focus on my goal. You see when you have the right mindset you can even take a minor detour here and there. I upped my exercise to compensate for my eating. After two weeks I am happy to report a gain of two or three pounds.</p>
<p>I just got off the scale and I have already lost the gain plus 2 pounds. You see that mindset turns roadblocks into speed bumps. You may slow down temporarily, but once you&#8217;re over it floor it and just like that you’re back on track and kicking fat in the ass once again.</p>
<p>This may sound like bullshit. I’m telling you it is not. I have been fat most of my life. In elementary school I had bigger boobs than the teachers. I have been up and down up and down over the years. I didn&#8217;t have the right mindset.</p>
<p>I’m not saying anyone can do it if I can. The truth is you probably won’t. That’s just the way it seems to be. If you let doubts linger you probably will fail. The mindset overpowers doubts. This shit is not easy.</p>
<h3> Really Losing Weight in 2012</h3>
<p>I don’t care what diet program you choose to help you lose weight in 2011. You know the one I like and it is far from some diet program. It is a comprehensive lifestyle plan. That has worked better than any “diet” for me. Take the time now to change your mindset.</p>
<p>Do not sit there asking yourself if you can do it this time. Do whatever it takes to convince yourself that it will work this time. Really do it. This is not one of those things you can just ignore. Find your motivation and hang on to it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><h2>Another Random Rambling Weight Loss Update Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle Still Great</h2>
<p>My fat burning journey started about a year and half ago. It has been an interesting journey. I must say. If you read some of my posts you will see that I started off just starving myself in the beginning. Anyone who has dieted knows that only works for so long.</p>

<p>So eighteen months in and I’ve lost a total of 120 pounds. I had hoped to be at my goal by now but that’s the way it goes sometimes. I am proud of my accomplishments thus far for sure.</p>
<p>Something strange has been happening lately. The last few weeks have consisted of mainly cheat days. I guess I’ll just call them cheat weeks. The funny thing about these cheat weeks is that I only gained three pounds.</p>
<p>I have been eating donuts almost daily. Pizza a couple times a week. I’m not sure what’s even going on with that. I’m not trying to gain weight. I just needed some comfort food lately. I’m pleased about the limited gain, but I’m also a bit surprised. I’m guessing that my sluggish metabolism has been revved up in a major way. If I had eaten this way a year ago I imagine I would have gained at least 15 pounds by now.</p>
<p>I’m really hoping this is what my future will look like. I have no plans of eating like this regularly. I just think that vacations and holidays will not be a problem whatsoever in the future.</p>
<p>I should add that I have added walking to my exercise regimen. In addition to my regular routine I now walk at least five miles a minimum of three times a week. I also cram up on the sweets the night before a long walk.  This may be a key in combatting my recent comfort food splurge.</p>
<p>This still gives me a great deal of hope for the future. I am hoping that this will help kill the holiday apprehension I have every year. Last year I gained 20 pounds in December. I almost gave up on losing weight after that. I’m so happy that I didn’t.</p>
<p>I’m writing this post today because I will be giving up the comfort foods once again. I’m going to just go with a basic healthy eating plan between now and Christmas. Then I will indulge at the holidays as much as I like. If at the end of the year I am within five pounds of my current weight I will mark this little experiment as a success.</p>
<p>When the big resolution day rolls around, you know the day every year that you swear you will lose the weight, I will jump right back on to BFFM and I will lose more weight. I love those New Year’s resolutions to lose weight in 2012, or whatever the current year is.</p>
<p>I never understood why people wait. If you wait an extra month that is all the more weight you will need to lose. If I wasn’t in need of a break I would shoot for another six to eight pounds lost this month. If you are reading this contemplating losing weight in 2012 don’t wait. Get a head start on everybody else. Start burning the fat today and you could be seeing results by New Years.  When everyone else is making there resolutions you can take satisfaction in the fact that you weight loss has already started.</p>

I recommend to anyone jump on a bike an elliptical or any other exercise machine you have access to first thing in the morning. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>I know I have not updated my fat burning progress in quite some time. I’m just unreliable at times when it comes to updating these pages. I got some great news last week. I track my weight daily and average my weekly totals but I use my monthly doctor visit for my official totals.</p>
<p>With trepidation I stepped on the scale at the office. I looked down and there it was 251. I had finally broke 100 pounds. I have to say it feels damn good. I wish I could claim that it was 100 pounds of pure fat I know that is not the whole story. Following a good program I know I ensured that the majority of the loss was fat.</p>
<p>It took me about 16 months to lose 100 pounds. I was hoping for faster results. That’s just the way it is sometimes. I have decided to continue with my fat burning diet until I reach about 210 pounds and reevaluate my goals from there. I think with my frame and the right amount of lean mass that will be a great weight for me.</p>
<p>I just wanted to share my fat loss success with anyone that reads my little blog here. If you have any success stories you would like to share, I would love to see them in the comments section.</p>
<p>I’ve always been fat but no longer. I refuse to ever go back to that. Take a moment and tell yourself the same. I love the fact that I am no longer winded walking up steps. I love the fact that I have more energy than I did ten years ago. I love the fact that I am once again living.</p>
<p>To anyone just starting this journey it can be done. It is far from easy, but it is doable. Commit today to take the first step. When you start seeing results it will really amaze you and keep you motivated. It does not matter what diet you choose as long as the principles are sound.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>So I finally saw the latest episode of the biggest loser. That show really can be infuriating and inspirational all in the same breath. Tuesday’s episode had such a touching moment it makes up for all the conniving that goes on regularly.</p>
<p>I mean Arthur is a straight up conniver and has pulled some really dirty crap for sure. The problem is the dude is going to die if he doesn’t lose weight.</p>
<p>It was really impressive the way three of the parents pulled together to protect the younger competitors including Arthur the snake. This really goes to show there are indeed still a lot of good people out there. It was almost as cool as last season when Ada threw the competition in order to let Patrick win that car.</p>
<p>I can’t believe some of the cool opportunities the contestants have on this show. I mean getting to meet <a href="https://www.basrutten.com/gym.html" target="_blank">Bas Rutten</a> and also having a chance to workout at his complex is straight gold. The way Bas was encouraging to Rulon shows just how much of a stand up guy he is, not to mention one bad dude.</p>
<p>I watch <a href="http://www.nbc.com/the-biggest-loser/" target="_blank">The Biggest Loser</a> for encouragement and inspiration in my fat burning diet and I have to say it rarely fails to deliver. Here is to hoping that all the competitors continue to do well on their weight loss journeys, Arthur included. I just hope he doesn’t actually win the competition.</p>

<p>There is no shortage of <strong>fat loss tips</strong> on the internet, this blog included. Often the problem is incorporating these into our daily schedule. We really just have to try our best and make the most of any time we may have.</p>
<p>I think by now everyone sees the value of eating more frequent smaller meals as a great way to help in fat burning. Eating too much at one sitting will cause our bodies to add to our fat stores. Spreading meals throughout the day can definitely have a good impact on our <a href="http://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/guide/make-most-your-metabolism" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">metabolism</a>. If you cannot get six meals a day try to eat at least four smaller meals.</p>
<h3>The best fat loss tips.</h3>
<p>Healthy food doesn’t have to be bad. Take the time to make healthy recipes that also taste good. When it comes to vegetables forget boiling them. Steam your vegetables to get the most from them. You can find steamers usually at a moderate price. Chicken breast can be seasoned so many different ways and then baked or grilled. Chicken breast is a great protein to add to your fat burning diet. Of course healthy food is the best of the body <em>fat loss tips</em>.</p>
<p>When it comes to exercise it doesn’t always have to cost a fortune. While joining a gym may be ideal if your funds allow there are other options. For one walking is free. Find a friend to walk with and it can be even more enjoyable. Most people are convinced this working out must be completed in an athletic gym. They believe they are in for a slow and tedious hour. They prepare themselves to get a workout spent sweating in a room with a lot of other people that are all doing the same things. They prepare to really feel self conscious. They seldom seem prepared for a satisfying experience. It&#8217;s correct that you need to work out frequently if you really want to lose weight and achieve optimum health but nobody says you have to detest the working out that you are going to do. Why not have a shot at dancing?</p>
<p>Dancing is definitely excellent exercise. Dancing&#8211;when carried out a few times a week&#8211;helps you <a href="http://fatburningspot.com/burn-fat-gain-muscle-it-can-be-done/">work your muscles</a> and fortify your heart. Ballroom dancing is a good low impact sport but in order to see results more quickly you should try a jazz or ballet class. Be real: don&#8217;t you enjoy dancing&#8211;even if you refuse to do it in front of others and only try it out when you&#8217;re home by yourself?  This makes for an excellent workout for losing weight and getting healthy.</p>

There are lots of dancing training videos that you can buy or rent so that you can get your workout in at home. There are also dancing video games like Just Dance, <a  href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii" target="_blank">Wii</a> Cheer and the Dancing online game for the Xbox Kinect system. Why not play around with some of these? You&#8217;ll be more likely to get into it because you won&#8217;t need to feel self conscious. You&#8217;ll work up a sweat. Calories will get burnt.</p>
<p>Perhaps the most important reason to take on dancing as your exercise activity is the enjoyment you can get from it. Dancing brings with it an amount of enjoyment and amusement that most other forms of physical exercise do not. All exercise produces endorphins. Dancing is fun therefore it makes those endorphins seem even more powerful. Taking a dance class or playing a dance video or game can also help you build your coordination. This will give you a much healthier sense of self confidence, which can carry over into other areas of your life. It&#8217;s great for counteracting depression symptoms.</p>
<p>Be honest with yourself. How often have you viewed a dance movie and actually enjoyed it? How often have you watched thoughtfully and thought: &#8220;I should try that.&#8221; How often have you considered &#8220;I wish I could do that&#8221;? You can take action! Not only is dancing great for ones happiness levels, it is great for losing weight and it&#8217;s great for your self confidence. Best of all? Dancing is fun. Most people  find at least a little bit of fun every time they &#8220;shake their groove things&#8221;.</p>

<p><em>Update for December 2011</em></p>
<p>I built this site to share some of the good and not so good experiences I have had with a <a title="fat burning diet" href="http://fatburningspot.com/fat-burning-diets-what-really-works/"><strong>fat burning</strong> diet</a>. I have also kind of been getting into some of those weight loss TV shows lately, like the biggest loser. Occasionally I share my thoughts on them also. I&#8217;ve pretty much always been fat or overweight or whatever you want to call it.</p>
<p>As a little background I am 33 years old I started with my current weight loss journey Mid-March of 2010. I’m 6 ft. 1 and weighed in at an embarrassing 354 pounds. As of today December 16, 2011 I weigh 235. <span style="color: #008000;">I can’t complain 119 pounds in a little more than a year and a half.</span> I have had some setbacks. That’s why they call it a journey I guess. Luckily thanks to the <em>fat burning</em> system that I follow I have been able get back on track. I assure you it is not one of those lose belly fat fast type of fads. It has definitely taken a lot of work and discipline.</p>
<p>I do believe my results would have been even better had it not been for the condition of my back. I was involved in a fall accident that left me with a spinal fracture and four herniated discs plus a multitude of nerve problems that leave me in fairly constant pain. This has limited the types of exercise I am able to perform. I still have not allowed this to derail my plans to lose weight. I feel that Excuses, no matter how real, cannot be allowed to let you lose sight of your fat loss goals. If you should have problems of this sort it is important to discuss your exercise program with your doctor.</p>
<p>A major reason for starting this blog for me was the accountability. I would definitely recommend starting a weight loss blog to help the motivation. Unfortunately I didn’t update as often as I should have. I have decided to recommit to regular updates. Truthfully I probably still won’t. I still have a considerable amount of work to do. I have had my best success in weight loss thus far following a great diet.</p>
<p>In these pages I have shared and will continue to discuss what I feel are the <a title="fat burning foods" href="http://fatburningspot.com/include-fat-burning-foods-for-max-weight-loss/">best <span style="text-decoration: underline;">fat burning</span> foods</a> and workouts. I realize that I am far from some weight loss guru. I am however someone that has firsthand experience with just how difficult weight loss can be.</p>
<p>Goals are a very important part of any weight loss system. I have had a great deal of trouble coming up with my actual weight loss goals. The ideal body weight for my height does not seem ideal to me. I have seen as low as 186 pounds recommended. I am not trying to get skinny, this just does not appeal to me. As it stands my goal is 210. I believe over the length of my weight loss journey that I may need to reevaluate my goal weight more than once.</p>
<p>Recently my friends and family have told me to stop where I am currently at. I know that they are trying to be positive. This is not helpful though. I believe we are the only ones who actually know what is good enough. I will know when I am happy with my body.</p>
<p>A couple things in closing. In the past I have tried but no longer use fat burning supplements of any sort. I don’t see the need for them.<span style="color: #ff0000;"> I feel <a href="http://fatburningspot.com/burn-the-fat-feed-the-muscle-still-love-it/"><span style="color: #ff0000;">Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle</span></a> by Tom Venuto is by far the best diet there is</span>. It is my fat loss bible. For only 40 buck it beats the price of any of the big name diet programs out there and includes everything one need to know to lose fat while retaining and even building muscle. I will get a more in depth review up at some point. I will update my progress semi regularly.</p>
<h3>Fat Burning Worked For Me</h3>
<p>I should probably point out that once in a while on these pages I may tend to get a bit vocal about the outright hatred for the overweight that seems to be acceptable these days. I still have work to do as I head towards goal weight. I&#8217;ll get there but I will never forget how much of a struggle fat loss has been.</p>
<p>I just have to say fatty haters go away. Spend some time fixing the problems with yourselves that you obviously have.</p>
