Fat Burning Diet Goals The Scale or The Tape Measure

The importance of goals in weight loss. I know goals are important in everything in life. Just about every diet plan stresses the need for goals, not just fat burning diets. I just reached 85 pounds lost and I still don’t have a long term goal set. My short time weight loss goal was and still is to lose 100 pounds by the end of the year. That will be about 9 and a half months.

I’m sure I won’t have a problem reaching that following the fat burning diet that I use. I’m just not clear on how much further I need to go after that.

Ideal weight charts suck. I’m 6’1” I have seen as low as 164 and as high as 225 on different charts. Those numbers both seem wrong to me. I haven’t been below 220 since I have been this height. So therefore as far as weight I can’t set a number. I think somewhere between 200 and 210 but I don’t know for sure. I know 164 is freaking nuts. Hell I’d rather stay fat than be that skinny.

I figure I’ll know it when I get there. Fat burning diets focus on building muscle while losing fat. I’m hoping at around 205 with a low body fat percentage I’ll reach the shape I’m looking for. Who knows in the end I may even shoot for 225. So I guess it is not always possible to set an actual number when it comes to weight loss goals.

I definitely am beginning to believe the tape measure is much more important than the scale when it comes to burning fat.

Meridia Pulled Screw Weight Loss Pills

As I’m sure everyone knows Meridia has been pulled from the US market. The dangers of these weight loss pills amaze me. On top of that recently there was the study that showed increased suicide risk in people who had undergone bariatric surgery. I know losing weight is hard. I just don’t understand why someone would assume all that risk, isn’t the point of losing weight to get healthier.

I’ll admit that I have tried fat burners myself to try and lose extra weight. I even tried thermogenic fat burners fairly recently. The truth is they helped some. That isn’t the point though. It dawned on me that I didn’t need them or the possible risks involved.

The truth is a good fat burning diet works. This in my opinion is much less work than preparing for and going through surgery. Of course this is also pretty much risk free. Forget the Meridia the Xenical or any of the fat burning pills, prescription or otherwise. Find a good diet and exercise program and follow it.

It’s all about taking responsibility and then taking action people. There is no magic pill. Weight loss takes hard work and dedication, but it is achievable. I’m still on my way to reaching goal, 85 pounds down as of today.
